Contacto Latino ® is made up of three powerful forces: our news aggregator, which collects news from all over the world from sources in Spanish, English and Portuguese and displays them, together with related content. All news change every fifteen minutes. Wow! That’s fast! But don’t worry, everything is archived in case you need to refresh your memory. The second force is made up of our original content, which is placed in the Ideas Latinas section. The third force is you, the reader. You will now be a driving force in Contacto Latino; and as we open new sections you will be able to place your original content: news, events, analysis of news, opinion, open letters… You name it… You can share with the world!!!
On the front page we placed our featured news, those chosen by our editor as top news; and our trending news, which are driven by the readers. You’ll also notice a series of series of insets that are constantly changing. Yep, those are the constantly changing news.
On our news page you will notice a map, when you click on a country you get the news for that country… Pretty nifty, ha?
Underneath the map, you’ll see three scrollers, those show the latest news in Spanish, English and Portuguese. Click on any link and it will take you to the news you want to read.
Everything is clickable and every article can be shared via Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and Google+.
Ideas Latinas is our original content section. Bloggers have their own space and can blog about whatever they are passionate about. Writers arrive in this section by invitation.
Our Voices section, our newest, has content driven by Contacto Latino registered users. In it you will be able to place your original content: news, events, analysis of news, opinion, open letters… You name it… You can share with the world!!!
Letters to the President is also a reader-driven section. In it, you can write a letter to the President of any country in Latin America, United States and Spain. You can add country leaders, such as presidential candidates and others. Once we get the letter, a picture for that leader is added.
In our Arts section we promote the works of budding artists. There are also a few books you can read online, and we are adding more to our collection.
The Entertainment Booking section is open to the public and in it you can peruse different artists and speakers for hire.
We will be adding many new sections, and you will be in the loop from this point forward!
