Ruby Receptionists Named Finalist for the 2016 OEN Tom Holce Entrepreneurship Awards
PORTLAND, OR –(Marketwired – September 13, 2016) – The Oregon Entrepreneurs Network (OEN) recently revealed 17 finalists – from 120 nominees – for the 2016 OEN Tom Holce Entrepreneurship Awards. Ruby® Receptionists, the voice of small businesses across the nation, was announced as a finalist for the Growth Stage Company Award category which recognizes a company with past-year revenue of at least $8 million and projected revenue for the current year of over $8 million.
Since 2003, Ruby Receptionists has delivered personalized live, virtual receptionist services that ensure small business owners never miss an opportunity due to a missed call. The company’s success in providing exceptional customer experiences has led to an annual average revenue growth rate of 40% for the past 7 years. Recognizing and supporting Ruby’s achievements, Updata Partners invested in the company last year providing additional resources to accelerate, evolve and expand its proprietary software and highly personalized service offering.
The OEN Tom Holce Entrepreneurship Awards honor the skill and courage it takes for entrepreneurs to create a business out of an idea. The awards are intended to not only celebrate entrepreneurs, but to highlight their importance to the region’s economy.
“Demonstrated growth is the true mark of success for our state’s more seasoned entrepreneurial companies,” stated Linda Weston, President & Executive Director of OEN. “These are the movers and shakers that have increased market share and jobs during the recession, and are making waves in their respective markets.”
OEN will announce one winner from each of the five categories on October 26, 2016 during the annual Awards Ceremony at the Oregon Convention Center. This year’s Awards Ceremony, “Create Your Legacy,” will also celebrate OEN’s 25th year and pay tribute to OEN’s outgoing President & Executive Director, Linda Weston, who will be retiring at the end of 2016 after 17 years.
