Bob Gallarza is an award winning producer, arranger and guitarist extraordinaire. His extensive experience in multiple facets of the music business is well documented and has established Bob as a powerful force and respected voice in the music industry. Bob Gallarza is constantly creating and has accumulated a profound collection of music. His signature sound incorporates a West Coast musical background with Southwest flair bringing Tejano music to a higher level of production and sophistication. Bob has often been compared and referred to as the “Quincy Jones of Tejano” by his peers.

Gallarza’s wide-ranging musical knowledge began in the late 60’s. Gallarza freelanced, performing at notable nightspots in Hollywood. His soulful and aggressive sound immediately gained popularity with music greats like Ike and Tina Turner, Delaney and Bonnie and Al Wilson. The multi-Grammy Award winning group, The Fifth Dimension took notice of Gallarza’s extraordinary talent and immediately invited him to join the group.

For the next fifteen years, Gallarza toured all over the world performing for the prestigious audiences. As a lead guitarist, Gallarza has had the pleasure of working with some of the most distinguished artists in American history including, Frank Sinatra, Bob Hope, Marilyn MCCoo and Billy Davis Jr., Sammy Davis Jr., Sister Sledge, Neil Sedaka, Willie Nelson, Thelma Houston, Gladys Knight, Delany and Bonnie, The Fifth Dimension, Al Wilson and many other noted artists and studio musicians. Gallarza has also performed at The White House, The Smithsonian Institute, on Broadway featuring The Fifth Dimension and appeared on numerous television shows such as “The Tonight Show”, “The Today Show”,”The Merv Griffin Show”, “ The Mike Douglas Show”, “The Dick Clark Show”, “ The Jerry Lewis Telethon”, “ Don Kirshner’s Rock Concert”, “ The Midnight Special”, and “The Marilyn and Billy Summer Show”.

In 1984 Gallarza set out to Texas in search of a new and refreshing sound. Gallarza hooked up with good friend and music legend Little Joe (Hernandez) thus creating what has been called the golden years of Tejano music; because of his well known and respected background in mainstream music, Gallarza and Little Joe brought in the major record labels to the Tejano industry. Gallarza served a key role in constructing new ways of record production, promotion and marketing.

Through the years, Gallarza has produced, arranged and advised such noted Tejano artists as Little Joe, Ruben Ramos, Johnny Hernandez, Stefani Montiel, Elsa Garcia, Lisa Lopez, Adalberto, The Latin Breed, Ram Herrera, Jay Perez, David Lee Garza, The Royal Jesters, David Marez, Jimmy Edward, Chente Barrera, Joel Guzman, as well as introducing noted country artists Willie Nelson, Donna Fargo and Johnny Rodriguez to the Tejano genre.

Gallarza has received considerable awards and recognition for his productions and recordings, such as four Grammy nominations and two Grammy wins to date. He has also won countless Tejano awards in “Best Artist”, “Producer” and Best Song catogories andinducted to Tejano Roots Hall of Fame.

Bob Gallarza has attained vast accomplishments in every aspect of the music industry and continues to provide the very best in quality production. Bob is currently busy serving on The Board of Governors for the Grammys; working on his latest CD and performing live when time permits.
