The Latin Breed is a musical group known for its tight-knit, crack horn section and lush vocal expressions. This ensemble of musicians specialize in flashy, jazz-affectionately known to most Tejano music aficionados, helped define the Tejano music experience with it’s traditions since 1969. The Latin Breed is composed very talented musicians. The Breed is led by: Charlie Rodriguez and Adalberto Gallegos. They captured a loyal following with danceable and rhythmic music and lyrics focused on the Tex-Mex culture. This musical entity has been recognized for incorporation sophisticated jazz styling into popular Spanish hit songs. From its origins, circa 1969, the group built a reputation for exciting live performances and skillful musicianship. One thing that has kept the band going through the years is an approach that isn’t stylistically self-limited.
Through the years The Latin Breed has maintained a unique trait which lives within each member that touched or improved the sound of The Latin Breed, past and present. Quality music is the end factor of a fellowship built with mutual respect and unbending inspiration.

From its formation, The Latin Breed has produced volumes of successful recording such as: “The Return of the Latin Breed”, “Power Drive”, “Breakin’ the Rules” and “Retro”, to name a few. From the beginning “The Latin Breed” registered top of the charts positions at Billboards Hot Latin LP’s. The momentum continued to accumulate a multitude of accolades with its “Power Drive”, “Breakin’ the Rules” and beyond.
No doubt The Breed has secured their musical legacy and a place in American music history. This Brotherhood is a family of dreamers and heroes who dare live their dream.
