Immigrant’s List released its Anti-Immigrant Olympic Medalists for America’s worst politicians.
“Today, we’re releasing the National Hall of Shame for 2012, and in honor of the Olympics, we wanted to shine the spotlight on politicians who are playing games and preventing America from fixing its broken immigration system. The simple truth is that immigration makes America win. And when politicians like the ones we expose grandstand and spread misinformation and fear, it prevents America’s economy from leading the global competition. America deserves better,” said Zack Stanton from Immigrants’ List.
Gold medals went to: Steve King (Iowa), for being out of touch; Joe Walsh (Illinois), for harassing his constituents; John Boehner (Ohio), for the blame game; Marco Rubio (Florida), for Hucksterism; and Chuck Grassley (Iowa), for killing jobs.
Silver medals went to: Lamar Smith (Texas), for misusing the Constitution; David Vitter (Louisiana), for his anti-immigrant rhetoric; and Elton Gallegly (California), for embarassing his constituents.
The only Bronze went to Ted Poe (Texas), for saying stupid things.
