Writing ideas

  • Please write with caps and small letters. All caps are visually displeasing and hard to read.
  • Make sure you have a short and sweet headline that says something (this is SEO critical).
  • What, where, when, why, who… the pillars of good reporting still apply.
  • Remember you are writing for a global audience, give context.
  • Check you spelling, grammar and punctuation.

Ready to share with the world?
Just a few steps and you are published – Read the instructions as needed

  1. Log in to your account → Go to the Voices tab → Click on “New Post”
  2. Choose your template
  3. Write your headline
  4. Write or paste the text (it will keep your accent marks but not the formatting)
  5. Press “Save draft”
  6. Attach an image: We take jpegs up to 1MB. The maximum size is: 320 x 320 pixels. The ideal size is 320 x 180 pixels. Image information is SEO critical. Press Upload → Choose Image → Update Media → Make Featured Image → Exit
  7. Press “Save draft”
  8. Your Byline will be your profile display name. To change, go to Profile → Display name → Update Profile
  9. Choose your Country
  10. Write a few tag words… so that search engines can find your article
  11. Press “Save draft”
  12. Press “Preview draft” to see how it looks
  13. Make changes and press “Save draft”
  14. To finish, press “Publish” and “View” –You can share the link
    on top or come back to the Voices section at http://contacto-latino.com/vcs/

Note: You can also save as a draft for later publishing, unpublish or trash
